Define acceptance before running the batch

Curved reinforcement should be checked against the approved drawing and project requirements. Agree which dimensions determine fit, how they will be measured and what tolerances apply. Machine repeatability does not by itself prove that the chosen nominal shape meets the drawing.

Use a consistent datum and orientation

Place samples in the same orientation on a suitable inspection surface. Identify fixed datum points instead of measuring from whichever end is most convenient. Check overall width and height, arc position, tangent sections and hook or end alignment. Inspect flatness where the drawing requires a planar component.

Combine profile checks with dimension checks

A template can reveal an incorrect curve or local distortion, but it should not hide an error in a critical length. Check radius or profile using an agreed method and measure closure separately. Compare several consecutive pieces to distinguish a systematic setup error from inconsistent feeding or material variation.

Respond to drift with a controlled check

If results move outside the agreed limits, stop the affected production and check material, tooling condition, feed behavior and setup records. Keep suspect parts separate until reviewed.
